6.7 25-110211:15 A.M. - (a) Consideration of Expanded Use of Previously Approved Stormwater Matching Funds (File #: 22-402) to Support Groundwater Management Activities under SGMA; and (b) Accept Staff Presentation on the Big Valley Groundwater Sustainability Plan Advisory Committee (GSPAC) Update
Chair Crandell, Vice Chair Rasmussen and Supervisors,
Thank you for the opportunity to comment on this subject. In the spirit of increasing public awareness of groundwater management, I ask the following questions:
1. Is the transfer of funds from previously approved Stormwater Matching Funds to activity supporting Groundwater Management under the SGMA allowed? (i.e. SGMA activity such as Big Valley Groundwater Sustainability Plan work)
2. Does this transfer of funds impair the original work approved and to be funded by the Stormwater Matching Funds? (I couldn’t tell from the presentation deck nor executive summary.)
3. Are the Stormwater Matching Funds on track for disbursement and work execution?
a. If not, why not? $500k has been allocated, and only $50k has been disbursed.
b. When is the deadline to disburse all awarded Stormwater Matching Funds?
Respectfully,
Margaux Kambara
