This board of supervisors should be ashamed of themselves and actually brought up on charges for misuse of public funds! Wasting $50,000 of taxpayers funds on a vote they had no intentions of following no matter the outcome is disgraceful and criminal. Thank you Supervisor Sabatier for truly representing and following the will of the people even when it went against your personal beliefs. This is true representation, unlike Supervisors Crandell, Green and Simon who are only looking out for their own self serving interests. Supervisor Pyska should be equally ashamed, your "neutrality" even in the face of overwhelming constituent's support of keeping Kelseyville's name is shameful and you should be recalled along with Crandall. Supervisor Simon calls us all racist for not believing what he believes, I say he should look in the mirror, he's the only racist I see.
The Lake County Board of Supervisors should be ashamed of their vote to recommend changing the name of Kelseyville. It is reprehensible that you completely ignored the will of the people. Thankfully two of you will be off the board soon. It sounds like there will be recalls initiated on other Supervisors in the near future. I certainly hope that happens. We need true leaders who care about the citizens of Lake County.
I believe the Board of Supervisors are obligated to vote against the Kelseyville name change. The obligation is because of the Measure U No verbiage: Hi Jessica,Can you help me understand when the Supervisors read the online comments for each Board of Supervisors meeting?
I believe the Board of Supervisors are required to recommend against the Kelseyville name change because of the verbiage that was in the NO answer on the Measure U ballot:
“A No vote on this advisory measure is a vote against the County of Lake Board of Supervisors recommending approval of the proposal to change the name of the town of Kelseyville to Konocti.”
