I guess another participation trophy, that's all he's worthy of. Mr. Green's comments and actions of going against the will of the people are another embarrassment. He was appointed to this position and had done nothing worthy in the 2 years he's held the position to be worthy of a proclamation! His comments of knowing better than us common folk is inflammatory and conduct unbecoming a public official.

As Supervisor Green vacates his position representing District 4, it is crucial to reflect on the significant issues surrounding his failed leadership, particularly concerning the Kelseyville name change. Throughout this process, Supervisor Green demonstrated complete ignorance regarding Kelseyville's location within his district and an indifference to the concerns of his constituents. Instead of taking responsibility for his role, he placed the entire burden of accountability on the District 5 Supervisor, while all supervisors were equally complicit in failing to act.
In addition to his failure to take responsibility, Supervisor Green made the ill-advised decision to support the name change despite the overwhelming opposition from his community. More than 70% of voters across the entire county expressed their disapproval. Supervisor Green prioritized his own personal guilt and internal conflict over the will of the people. This decision was misguided and ultimately undermined the very democratic principles he was entrusted (appointed, not elected) to uphold.
Throughout this debate, Supervisor Green voiced his personal feelings of guilt and bias, which unfortunately tainted his judgment and led to a misguided projection of these emotions onto the community. His failure to confront these internal conflicts responsibly contributed to the deepening division and, in some cases, racial tension within both the community and the Board chambers.
Supervisor Green selectively interpreted the Board on Geographic Names policies on geographic names, presenting them as indisputable facts rather than acknowledging the nuances and potential for debate within the policies. This misinterpretation further misled the public and weakened the integrity of the decision-making process.
Supervisor Green's leadership weakness and decision to support the name change, despite his constituents' overwhelming opposition and failure to lead with clarity and fairness, only worsened the situation. Supervisor Green should be deeply embarrassed by his inability to manage his emotions during this process.
As we move into the new year, I look forward to a leader who will approach complex issues with competence, integrity, and the courage to make decisions based on the needs and wishes of the community—not driven by personal guilt or external pressure.

Mr. Green was appointed in his District 4 Supervisor by none other than the self righteous Governor Newsom. Green was a voice from his basement during Covid, condemning those who dared to live their lives. Once he was appointed to his BOS seat, he served in HIS own best interests and gleefully collected his tax funded paycheck. He is undeserving of any recognition for his non service of his non elected position. He is a disgrace. I am looking forward to District 4 Supervisor elect Brad Rasmussen taking his seat and filling that position with integrity where integrity has been lacking for many years. Good Riddance to Michael Green. May your basement welcome you back with open arms.

Michael Green is self righteous and condescending. He has NOT served his constituents well and is undeserving of this Proclamation

I strongly Oppose Michael Greens proclamation of congratulations for two years of service. Mr. Greens service has reflected extreme discontent and disrespect for constituents who have opposing Opinions. Mr. Greens actions have Disenfranchised Voters by voting in favor of a advisory Ballot measure to change the name of Kelseyville despite the Voters overwhelming Decision to Oppose Name change to the BGN. His actions have further tarnished the Reputation and trust of our County Government. Mr Green has failed to uphold his oath to the US constitution in accordance with Article 4 section 4 of the US constitution by refusing to offer county constituents the Representation they deserve and was made evident with the Measure U Vote. He placed his own personal satisfaction over the desires of the constituents he was APPOINTED to represent. Mr. Greens actions should be held accountable…… not congratulated for his his corruption
