As citizens who live in the Highland Springs Park area, we are grateful to support your Board's proposal to develop planning and management for the Highland Springs watershed and park areas. HSP is a very special area that has been left to fare for itself for too long. Fuels reduction is a critical issue, as well as safe use of the park area. We're so happy that a new caretaker has been appointed and hope that further steps can be taken to protect the flora, fauna, safety, law enforcement and patrol, and most importantly management to reduce the potential for fire.
