It is imperative that the BOS support the PHO unequivocally, in order to recruit and retain a qualified candidate. Unfortunately, the LCSO undermined Dr. Gary Pace's professional authority and expertise, so we lost an eminently qualified PHO due to largely to a lack of protection from the BOS.
