The numbers no longer reflect a local emergency. The county needs to evaluate locally & make decisions accordingly. Many cities in CA are now taking control of decisions for their cities stating that the mandates are not a one size fits all. Lake county BOS should do the same. Stop pandering to the state in hopes of receiving more funding.

Zero time has been spent thus far encouraging residents to get healthy & address underlying health conditions. Data proves comorbidities are a big problem, with obesity at the top of the list. Is this really about health anymore or simply about maintaining fear? In a county that has a littering problem, it is only added to daily with masks being strewn in every parking lot, on beaches around the lake, clogging rain gutters, etc. They pose the same risk to animals as the plastic rings from soda cans that many of us learned to cut up before disposal to prevent animal deaths. Show the people of the county you really care without pushing a narrative.

Given the ongoing assault by new variants I support keeping the State of Emergency going.
