5.3 21-1029 Approve the Continuation of a Local Health Emergency Related to the 2019 Coronavirus (COVID-19) as Proclaimed by the Lake County Public Health Officer
I urge the Board of Supervisors to stop all covid restrictions. This is not a pandemic anymore. Let people choose how they want to live their lives. This is America. Let's act like it. I pray you would all make the right decision.
I urge the Board of Supervisors to stop all covid restrictions. Those who feel the need to keep masking, please feel free to do so. However we should all be allowed to breath easily and not be forced to wear a mask.
I urge the board to stop all Covid restrictions. This is and over reach of the Government, BOS, School boards, Health Departments. There are meds that the government has banned that would eliminate covid completely. You all say follow the science, but really follow the money. I've had covid, now have antibodies. You have robbed the children of school, friends, family time. Family members have died alone because of your covid mandates. Neighbors are afraid to visit. If you want to wear a mask do so, if you want to be vaccinated do so. Each person should have a choice, I worked in the public 1976-2010 never wore mask or took a flu shot, West Nile, Bird Flu,Swine Flu,Zika Virus, Or The Corona Virus didn't take me or my family out. The Government, Media, BOS,School Boards, County Health Departments have all jumped on the band wagon to keep the fear going. God did not give me a spirit of fear.
I urge the BOS to stop all covid restrictions. We are no longer in a health crisis. Just 10% of our entire county (population ~64,500) have tested positive over the last year and a half. That is not a crisis. We've had worse flu seasons. Continuing the 'emergency' will mean continued blows to small businesses and our local economy which has already been struggling. Many people (myself included) will not go and spend money anywhere requiring a mask be worn. I won't eat out if I have to wear a mask to my table. I won't shop in a store requiring masks. I'll just give Amazon my money since I don't have to wear a mask to shop online. I am not alone. Drop the mandates and let our small, rural community get back to living like the rest of the country and we can start revitalizing our economy. For those that are uncomfortable with covid - wear a mask. This is no longer a crisis. End the restrictions. Thank you.
I urge the board to stop all Covid restrictions. We have seen thousands of counties all over the country pull back on their Covid restrictions. Any restrictions moving forward would be considered punitive. We all saw the board attend a dinner lately mask free as you should be.
