Lake County Resident about 3 years ago

County officials should be held to the same standards they are imposing on county residents. Over the weekend a fundraiser was held in which Supervisors Scott, Sabatier and Simon attended and masks were not required for those in attendance. At a time when all county buildings have mandatory mask requirements and schools in the area are mandating our youngest and least at risk to spend all day in classrooms wearing masks, why should there be different rules for a fundraiser? We are at a point where the information over the last 19 months is available for anyone to make an informed decision and the county should either follow their own directions or remove the mandates. The BOS should not be using different requirements to allow themselves less restrictions than those they are placing on residents. An apology won't suffice. Drop the mandates since the grown adults running the county can't even follow them. Let's Go Brandon!
