6.5 21-975 11:30A.M. - PUBLIC HEARING - Discussion and Consideration of Appeal (AB 21-04) of the Planning Commission Approval of Major Use Permit (UP 21-10) and Adoption of Initial Study (IS/MND 21-10) for a Commercial Cannabis Cultivation License (Sourz HVR, Clearlake Oaks); APN's 006-004-07 (Project Location) and Contiguous Parcels 006-002-04, 006-004-06, 006-002-09, 006-04-24, 00-004-25 and 006-009-36.
Please deny up 21 10 project. They have done wrong from the start and will continue to do so unless you stop them. We should not have to live in this area with all the noise, dust, night activity, and worries of water among other things. In an earlier meeting for this it was stated by the applicant that they are using water from Brassfield for their pot and now he is stating that it is only for their sunflowers. How can we believe them. I am sure if you really consider this project as you were living next door and have dealt with all that we have since they began, you would then feel how we do and would absolutely deny this project. Please protect what we have here. Please really consider the nuisance they are causing us. Please also consider all the wrong they have done so far and will likely continue.
I support AB21-04 and oppose UP21-10. SourzHVR would like us to believe they are new to the the cannabis industry and that they saved their money to buy the High Valley Ranch property. This couldn't be further from the truth based on the sophistication of their operation and the endless supply of money they seem to have at their disposal to purchase and lease land, obtain permits, buy equipment, pay fines, hire lawyers, consultants, and contractors, and influence county agencies to achieve their objectives. They've deviated many times from the proposal submitted and agreed to by the community development department and planning commission who have allowed this project to proceed regardless of community input, opposition, and code violations. They are very good at citing legal code and padding reports to overwhelm and confuse the lay person in an attempt to move their agenda forward through the court system which allows them to function with little to no oversight. Stop SourzHVR.
