6.5 21-861 11:00 A.M. - PUBLIC HEARING - Consideration of an Ordinance Extending Interim Urgency Ordinance No. 3107 ten (10) months and fifteen (15) days which Establishes a Moratorium on the Issuance of Early Activation Permits for Land Use Projects within the Unincorporated Area of Lake County and Authorize Chair to Sign
According to Section Eight of Ordinance 3107, the CDD department shall provide a written report on measures taken, or recommending measures" no such report has been issued. Therefore, this Board should not approve such a change that will impact multiple community members throughout the County. If Early Activation is to be removed, how many projects are currently operating under Early Action? How many projects have been issued multiple Early Activation permits? What is the timeline for applicant to be presented to the Board of Supervisors. Please see the attached document for further factors for this recommendation.
Redbud Audubon supports the adoption of the ordinance before you today. Extending Interim Urgency Ordinance 3107 will establish a moratorium on the issuance of Early Activation Permits for land use projects within the unincorporated area of Lake County until the current backlog (145 cannabis use permits and the 24 unassigned projects) is cleared. Thank you.
